Social audio, podcasting in a pandemic, and audio advertising are all expected to be significant trends in 2022. Every major social network is working on or has introduced a live audio functionality. Their use cases need to go from clone to success story ASAP! Mic’d up and ready to be heard. Starved of social interaction, live audio quickly became an avenue for consumers to be entertained and informed, and for marketers to connect with those consumers in 2021. It all started with the social audio app Clubhouse, which immediately led to several clones cropping up as new apps or additional features in existing social networks. In this session, we'll discuss why audio needs to be part of the marketer playbook. Marketer takeaways: - Be human. - Partner with influencers. - Sponsor a room.

While the focus has always been to improve or enhance the passenger experience, that focus must evolve in creativity, innovation and technology post-pandemic. This new virtual event will feature insightful presentations and collaborations on solutions for the future of travel.

Adriana Servinsky goes beyond typically expected efforts to achieve extraordinary results for public outreach on transportation related projects. One particular example of her success this past year was so exceptional that I believe it must be shared. Adriana worked on several different tasks for the Randall Road Improvements Study, but the energy and creativity she brought to the public outreach program was clearly recognized by the client, the McHenry County Division of Transportation. The project came to the stage of needing public input. A Public Hearing needed to be conducted. However, previous public comments had been limited and were typically received
from a small number of local residents expressing opposition to the proposed improvements.
The client wanted to know what HDR was going to do to advertise the Public Hearing and reach out to more people. They wanted to make sure that a larger cross section of the stakeholders were aware of the project and provided input. Adriana suggested preparing a comprehensive Public Outreach Plan that would provide important information to the client and serve as a guide for the work that had to be done. She created a thorough document that not only include the basic stakeholder information, but it also laid out an innovative program using social media. The client was thrilled with the Public Outreach Plan that she developed, but the results from her implementation of the plan were even better. The Public Outreach Plan included an extensive effort to advertise the Public Hearing in traditional methods as well as newer techniques. -

Adriana Servinsky always brings a fresh perspective to the projects she works on. She challenges the project team to think above and beyond the minimum way of always doing things. A great example of Adriana’s creativity is the HDR Internal Project Team Website for the CN/EJ&E Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), aptly named The Wild Rider. Adriana helped to create and then managed the on-going collaborative website that became instrumental to the project team during a fast paced 12 month schedule that involved a series of formal public scoping meetings, a Draft EIS, a series of formal public hearings, and a Final EIS. The Wild Rider was used as a key communication tool for the entire team. Adriana’s approach to the development of The Wild Rider utilized her strengths in organization, research, and ingenuity. Combine those characteristics with a special flair for blending informative text with visually appealing graphics and you
get a fantastic resource that was continually used by the CN/EJ&E project team. Adriana doesn’t limit herself to what has been done in the past. She uses her research skills and builds from the past with a strong vision for the future. She thoroughly discusses the basis for assignments with task leaders and then develops innovative solutions. Adriana’s skills in putting together visually attractive graphics allows her to get difficult messages
and information across to project team members as well as clients and the project stakeholders. Adriana was involved in
the public hearing process for the CN/EJ&E EIS. Her efforts to organize the project team and work with the tasks managers showed her strength in using a variety of communication styles tailored to the many personalities she needed to coordinate with. -
